Wind
Turbines
Wind turbines generate
renewable energy electricity from the power of the wind. There are a
few key points to consider:
- You usually
need planning permission for a wind turbine
- I do not
recommend building-mounted wind turbines. These have shown
disappointing results in tests.
- Wind
turbines are usually mounted on a stand-alone pole about 10-15m high.
- The best
location for a wind turbine
is if you have a field / paddock etc. about 60m, but sometimes 200m,
from any houses that is
not surrounded by trees or buildings. Siting is crucial to good output
so call me today for an assessment and don't go with a company that
tells you it will be ok but really just wants to make a sale - you
could regret it. Call me for a balanced opinion.
We
provide a FREE assessment of your property to see if it is suitable for
a wind turbine in East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. We can then
supply and install a wind turbine from our partner British
ECO.
British ECO is a national
company that has been going since 2002 and has many installations
around the country. They are MCS accredited (#1377).
We
would normally be working with relatively small scale wind turbines,
from 1kW to 20kW. These can provide about the same amount of
electricity as you use in your house over the year.
We can provide solar systems though our partner
British ECO call now for a FREE assessment and no-obligation quotation.
